See Inside Elle Macpherson’s Coral Gables Mansion

Model Elle Macpherson must be great at negotiation. She recently purchased a 7-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom spacious contemporary in Coral Gables, Florida for much less than its asking price and a mere fraction of the $53 million she reportedly received in her divorce settlement from billionaire real estate developer Jeff Soffer.

The house had previously been listed for $11.4 million and came down in price several times only to land at $8.9 million. But Macpherson got an even better deal than that with country records showing a final purchase price of $8.1 million. At over 8,300 square feet and 1.71 acres the home sits inside the Journey’s End Homeowners Association gated community with access to tennis courts and a communal boat marina. But the home also comes with a private salt water pool in the backyard.

The front entrance has a sweeping staircase in the double-height foyer.

The kitchen is gleaming white, except for the stainless steel appliances. The painted brick wall softens the room slightly from all the hard edges of the granite countertops.

The nearby pantry has a fancy climate controlled wine storage system.

One of the bathrooms is this sleek room with a stall shower and separate bath tub.

With only 18 homes in the Journey’s End community, Macpherson had to apply to join and, luckily, the decision-makers didn’t turn her away. She’s moving in to a pedigreed city with Coral Gables having been home to celebrities such as Marc Anthony and Karent Sierra of Housewives of Miami.
