Anthony Bourdain’s Condo And Other Celeb Digs On The NYC Market

For those who want to live like the stars, several celebrity properties hit the New York City market this week.

A townhouse at 116 Sullivan St. in SoHo, for example, which was rented by the likes of George and Amal Clooney, along with Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, is now on the market for $15.995 million, according to the listings site StreetEasy.

The property received some negative press earlier this year when its owner, Richard Fertig – a “serial entrepreneur” and “Airbnb superhost,” according to his video on Youtube – racked up violations for renting out the basement though it lacked adequate exits, fire alarms and a certificate of occupancy.

But there’s plenty upstairs to entice a buyer to the historic home, which was constructed in 1932 and is a whopping 24 feet wide.

It has ample space for lavish parties with nine beds and 5 ½ baths, a multi-level garden and a roof deck. For the colder months, there are also three fireplaces and heated walnut floors.

“An apartment’s history can be huge differentiating factor – from having historical significance to a celebrity connection – that can help attract a broader scope of buyers who don’t just want a new apartment but a story too,” noted StreetEasy spokeswoman Lauren Riefflin.

Meanwhile in midtown, the abode formerly occupied by the late Anthony Bourdain, on the 64th floor of the glitzy Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle, is now for rent on StreetEasy for $14,200 per month.

Though the two-bed, two-bath condo might be sad to stay in for fans of the famous foodie, who shocked the world with his suicide in Paris in June, its expansive views of the Hudson River and radiant natural sunlight could provide some comfort.

Not surprisingly, its marble kitchen is equipped with first-class appliances and the building is also home to the Michelin-rated Per Se restaurant.

The residence offers plenty of space to store a collection of Bourdain’s TV shows on DVD, with 1,200 square feet and two walk-in closets.

Finally, since the line between celebrity and politics is getting increasingly blurred, it’s also worth noting that a 19th-floor unit at 111 Murray St. in TriBeCa owned by Pres. Donald Trump’s former-lawyer Michael Cohen is up for rent for $25,000 a month.

Cohen bought the condo in July for $6.7 million – possibly to get his family out of the Loews Regency hotel room that was raided by the federal government in April.

The 2,684-square-foot four bed, 4 ½-bath pad is accessible by a private elevator and is located in a brand-new building that features posh amenities like two swimming pools, a spa and a 3,000-square-foot gym.

It isn’t clear why Cohen is opting out of living in the apartment, but it may have to do with its developers reportedly being pals of his ex-boss.
