Sirin Labs blockchain smartphone: Sirin Labs, the same company that brought Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy to the London-premier of its ‘world’s most secured phone’ just two years ago, is releasing a more affordable Android phone this November. The company’s latest blockchain-based smartphone endeavor has an even bigger endorsement this time around, the world’s most popular soccer star – Lionel Messi.

The company’s original blockchain-based phone, Solarin, was only affordable to the rich and sold for a whopping $16,000 a phone. Now, the company’s latest phone, the FINNEY, will be released at a price tag of only $1,000 – very similar to the iPhoneX.

The Sirin Labs Blockchain Smartphone: FINNEY

The Swiss-based smartphone developer told CoinTelegraph that it would be releasing its new affordable blockchain-based Android phone just before Christmas.

The FINNEY will run on SIRIN OS and include a cold storage cryptocurrency wallet. The blockchain-based smartphone will also have a Token Conversion Service (TCS) and a multi-blockchain decentralized applications (dApp) store.

The Foxconn Technology Group based in Taiwan is the developer and manufacturer of Sirin Labs’ new project. Foxconn makes products for Google, Cisco, Huawei, Amazon, and Apple.

FINNEY will run a multi-layer cybersecurity suite that will protect its users from connecting to a ‘rogue’ network.

SIRIN OS is a Google-certified “ultra-secure” hard fork of Android 8.1. The FINNEY has 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 12-megapixel rear camera that holds a f/1.8 aperture. The phone also comes with an 8-megapixel f/2.2 selfie camera. The FINNEY holds a 6-inch screen, and its battery is pretty standard at 3,280mAh.

The thing that stands out most about the FINNEY is that it has two touchscreens, which slide up from the body of the device and are around two inches. This action ‘warms up’ the cold wallet, which will allow crypto enthusiasts to securely transact cryptocurrency.
