What is CEX.IO?

The cryptocurrency exchange CEX.IO began in 2013 as a cloud mining provider. As it began its journey towards becoming a crypto exchange, the USD market was the first to be added in 2014, followed shortly after by the EUR market.

Now, CEX.IO is a cross-platform cryptocurrency exchange that can be accessed from the web, mobile app, WebSocket and REST API. This London-based exchange offers buying, selling and trading services for cryptocurrencies, operating as a fiat-to-crypto exchange.

CEX.IO offers a variety of payment options, including credit card, bank account, and paying directly with cryptocurrency.

One of the things that make CEX.IO stand out is that you can buy Bitcoin (BTC) with a VISA card or Mastercard, using the US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, or the Russian Ruble. There are three set options, such as USD $200, USD $500, or USD $1,000, or you can choose your own amount (minimum USD $20, maximum USD $10,000). The price of BTC resets every 120 seconds.
