The Results

Match 1

With a final score of 1-0, Jamie Dimon (Serbia) has won his first game of the Crypto World Cup! Dan Larimer (Costa Rica) made a valiant effort, as the final stats showed that both teams seemed evenly matched.

Costa Rica made it to the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Brazil four years ago, while Serbia didn’t qualify in 2014. We’re just getting started, so who knows if Larimer can make a comeback!

Match 2

In another 1-0 win, Brian Armstrong (Mexico) has started off to a good start in the Crypto World Cup. Roger Ver (Germany), on the other hand, definitely tried his best.

Even though Germany had nearly 26 shots on goal to Mexico’s 13, Mexico ultimately scored in the first half and Germany just couldn’t catch up.

Match 3

Cameron Winklevoss (Brazil) and David Schwartz (Switzerland) faced off in the last game of the day, and what a game it was! The two teams tied at 1-1, although Brazil still had almost three times as many shots on goal than Switzerland.

Brazil was the host country of the previous World Cup and was one of the favourites to win. They we able to finish in fourth place, while Switzerland also qualified for the 2014 World Cup.
